His past work has focused on Robust Redhorse conservation and ecoregional flow regimes, with research and development experience supporting the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on remote sensing tools for aquatic invasive species. He has consistently delivered high-quality restoration projects with strong client-focused outcomes throughout the Mid-Atlantic and beyond.

Paul's research interests center on advancing innovative monitoring approaches in stream restoration, including the application of eDNA metabarcoding to macroinvertebrate assessment at mitigation banks. His commitment to science-based solutions and practical project delivery was recognized through his selection as a 2025 RES Innovation Leadership Program (ILP) Award Winner for this pioneering monitoring work.
