Scientist and Senior Arborist
Larsen is a scientist and senior arborist at RES. He specializes in urban forestry, arboriculture, and urban forest planning. His work focuses on helping municipalities, agencies, and private clients understand, manage, and protect tree resources through data-driven analysis, planning, and policy development.
Larsen provides arborist consulting services that include tree inventories, risk assessments, urban forest management planning, canopy analysis, grant development, and municipal tree code support. He has worked on projects across the United States, supporting local, state, and federal clients in evaluating and managing urban forests of every size.
Larsen holds a master’s degree in environmental horticulture from the University of Florida. He is an ISA Certified Arborist and Tree Risk Assessment Qualified professional and is actively involved in advancing the profession through research, public service, and professional organizations. He serves on local advisory boards, contributes to urban forestry initiatives throughout Florida.
