Regulatory Specialist and Restoration Ecologist

Brandon specializes in the development, implementation, and long-term stewardship of stream and wetland restoration projects across Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. With a decade of experience in ecological restoration and environmental consulting, he helps guide projects from site selection through monitoring and adaptive management.

Brandon’s expertise includes wetland delineations, compensatory mitigation planning, Clean Water Act permitting, ecological assessments, habitat mapping, and restoration monitoring. He works closely with project teams to identify opportunities for ecological uplift while ensuring regulatory compliance and long-term environmental success.

The majority of Brandon’s work at RES is focused on large-scale mitigation and restoration initiatives. He serves as a lead ecologist on the Bois d’Arc Lake Mitigation Project in Texas, where RES is restoring thousands of acres of habitat and enhancing miles of stream systems to offset impacts associated with reservoir construction. He has also led restoration and monitoring efforts for mitigation banks and permittee-responsible mitigation projects throughout the Gulf Coast region.

Brandon is particularly interested in translating ecological science into practical restoration outcomes that improve habitat quality and ecosystem function. His work combines field-based ecological expertise with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, allowing him to help clients achieve both environmental and compliance objectives.
