At Jenny Creek, the largest tributary to the Klamath River upstream of Iron Gate Dam, a groundbreaking restoration project is underway. This effort focuses on assisted sediment evacuation to address decades of sediment buildup caused by the reservoir established in the 1960s. Known as the Jenny Creek Delta, this area has accumulated vast amounts of sand, gravel, cobble, and boulders as the creekâs flow meets the reservoir footprint.
