0:34
The Vernal Pool Tadpole Shrimp, an endangered species, was spotted thriving at our North Suisun Mitigation Bank in Solano County, CA. The shrimp is the size of a penny and looks almost exactly like its fossilized ancestors. This is one of the 19 endangered species we are working to preserve through our mitigation banks nationwide. Additional species in California include the Vernal Pool Fairy Shrimp and California Tiger Salamander.
